It has been an interesting time over the summer with respect to the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender community. In the USA they had the declaration that same sex marriages are now legal, as stated by the Supreme Court. That said, Christians have demonstrated against this ruling - some have even gone to jail with their supporters saying that they akin to Martin Luther King in defending their rights. In the UK we have Shared Discussions (or Shared Disagreements) in the CoE and soon with the Methodist Church a discussion on Same Sex Marriage. But Street Angels are from many denominations and some from none at all - can we work in harmony on this issue?
Where do we stand with respect to LGBT?
Is it Biblical to 'Love the Sinner, Hate the Sin'?

It actually comes from St. Augustine. His Letter 211 (c. 424) contains the phrase Cum dilectione hominum et odio vitiorum, which translates roughly to "With love for mankind and hatred of sins."
We need to consider who are the LGBT community, how do we react to them, what does our theology say about LGBT issues and how we should now respond. That's what we are looking to do for you at the October National Conference for Street Angels.
