Tonight on BBC1 the series depicting the life in the 1960s of midwives and nuns in Peckham, London, highlighted the perverse nature of the law which found that 'homosexuals' were deemed to be criminals. The law was repealed 48 years ago but still, for some, the situation is unclear. A man, drawn into a honeytrap by the Police, is arrested and following a trial in court he and his wife are despised.
